"Art and
Nature Combined"

About Us

Barbara:

Hello and thank you for visiting our website.
I had very little art experience in school.  I got good grades by modeling for the class and organizing the supplies, and cleaning the art room.
In 2001, I was hypnotized to quit smoking cigarettes, and it worked!
At that time, my mother and sister tried to get me interested in rubber stamping greeting cards.  From there, I started experimenting with different surfaces.
In July of 2002, I bought a book by Lin Wellford called "Painting Houses and Cottages on Rocks".  I painted my first rock while on vacation in Maine and I was hooked!
By fall I had painted so many rocks that my daughter encouraged me to try selling them at craft shows.
My first show was in Wiswall Park in my old home town of Ballston Spa, New York.  It was such a positive experience, and gave me so much encouragement.
It wasn't long before people started asking me to paint their pets on rocks.
After a while, I was able to move to the flat surface and now actually prefer to paint on canvas.
I am truly grateful to everyone who has encouraged me along the way.

Rick:

Hi, not much to say about me except I like to take pictures, and living in the southern Adirondacks affords me the opportunity to capture the natural beauty of the area on film (memory card).  I may occasionally offer some of these prints for sale on the site.
     Please stay tuned.
